The first set subject competition of this season was for images obtained using mobile phones only. The technical quality of such images has increased greatly over recent years and this was demonstrated by the quality of the photographs submitted by our members. The competition was judged by our chairman, Tony Marsh. He used his “Olympic” system of marking, awarding the images either Bronze, Silver or Gold. There were 39 images submitted, of which 10 attained Gold standard:
